Operating with skeleton staff will lead to faster burn out among staff. Already many staff are taking time off for illness that is connected to burn out. Things can only get worse when staff numbers are decimated further. Sad state of affairs.
I work at the University of Huddersfield and am threatened with redundancy, or as our VC says here, a 'strategic pivot' and part of a 'proactive effort to secure a dynamic and sustainable future for our university'. Words fail me as how can you respond to such insulting, inhuman garbage?
