If REF results are to be believed, UK research is improving and becoming more world-leading by the day. However, agree with the point that the "sector still has much to do to address gender and racial inequalities".
It would be helpful to have detail on what's meant by an "EU academic" (based in the UK), for example whether it's any UK-based academic who holds an EU passport, or whether it's about where they got their PhD. If an EU academic gets a UK passport, do they still count as an EU academic?
