The American University of the Middle East (AUM) is a private university established in 2005 in Kuwait. AUM mission is to provide an interactive learning environment that facilitates the development of leaders who are committed to their culture, global ethical values, and professionalism.

AUM has two colleges: the College of Engineering and Technology and the College of Business Administration, in addition to a Liberal Arts Department and an English Preparatory Program.
The College of Engineering and Technology offers seven undergraduate Engineering programs (Architectural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering), in addition to two undergraduate technology programs (Information System Technology, and Telecommunications and Networking Technology).
Six of the programs offered by the College of Engineering and Technology are accredited by ABET, which is the global accreditor of college and university programs in applied and natural science, computing, engineering, and engineering technology. (See more about accreditation)
The College of Business Administration offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with four concentrations (Finance, Marketing, Management Information System and Human Resources Management), in addition to a Master’s degree program in Business Administration (MBA).
AUM College of Business Administration has been fully accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. (See more about accreditation)
An Innovative Learning Environment 
AUM prepares its students to become the leaders of tomorrow and a core element of its educational philosophy is to apply “learning by creating” throughout their educational journey at AUM. In light of this, AUM innovation centers, labs, and cutting edge facilities are in place, offering groundbreaking technologies and resources that are designed to equip students, through experiential learning, with in-demand skills required by top industries.
The Research and Innovation Center at the College of Engineering and Technology includes a Robotics Center, a Nanotechnology Center, and a Capstone Center. In the College of Business Administration, a Business Innovation Center is established, comprising of: HRM Club, MIS Club, Marketing Club, Accounting Club, Finance Club, Entrepreneurship Club, and a Capstone Center.

	A PhD Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting or a related field.
	A relevant teaching experience in Accounting discipline in a reputed institution.
	A consistent track record of intellectual output demonstrated by publications in high impact, good quality, Scopus Indexed journals with a promising potential for further research.
	Active engagement in curriculum design, program development, and community engagement.


Job Description

The successful candidate is expected to prepare and deliver the Accounting (ACT) coursework in an engaging, innovative, immersive, and displace-relevant pedagogical approaches, reflecting commitment, sincerity, integrity, equity, and respect for cultural dimensions while delivering the course material. The responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to:


	Teach courses in Accounting (ACT) discipline, such as: Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting, Auditing, Intermediate Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Public Accounting & Taxation, Oil & Gas Accounting, Accounting Information Systems & Data Analytics, Forensic Accounting and Advanced Management Accounting, among others.
	Participate in the departmental activities which includes representation on different academic and support committees.
	Prepare course material, curriculum design and review, program development, assessment of student learning outcomes, and mentor student projects, events and academic fair projects Remain current with the field of specialization by participating in the faculty development programs and activities, serve on task forces, working groups, and student support committees.
	Reflect the highest standards of ethics and collegiality in all interactions, teaching, and publication.
	Meet the necessary deadlines for grades submission and make use of office hours as per the regulations to support student advancement and development.

	A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an internationally accredited university is required.
	Specialization: Power, Communication, Robotics, Electronics, or mechatronics.
	Preferred qualifications are teaching experience and/or industry experience.
	Ability to work in a diverse, interdisciplinary, and fast-paced environment is essential.
	The applicant must have demonstrable skills in oral and written English.

	Maintain regularly scheduled office hours for students; and attend regular faculty meetings; and
