Brilliant. Thank you for this. It takes guts to follow your advice, but the reward is freedom and the chance to savour those aspects of our profession that make it glorious: we get paid for thinking, and then for sharing the meaningful (!) outcomes of our thinking with the world through (mainly) teaching and the occasional output in print. Elitist? So what?
