29 CityU scholars are named Highly Cited Researchers for 2022, placing CityU 50th worldwide in this citation ranking.

Four CityU academics secured funding from the Senior Research Fellow Scheme (SRFS) and the Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) (2023/24) under the Research Grants Council (RGC) in Hong Kong.
