(Photograph) - Composer Andrew Downes (left), head of composition and creative studies at Birmingham Conservatoire, has composed "Towards a New Age" for the 150th anniversary of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra will premiere the work in January.
