Another mistake similar to Brexit where parents prefer their prejudices than consider the future of their children.
When people complain that British universities are behind the curve in soliciting philanthropic funding, they should be reminded that this is where such a strategy leads. To a place where parents (not even students) with the deepest pockets, not the best arguments, get to decide the rules at institutions that are supposed to be the one place in society thats is about the power of intellect above the power of money.
