There seems to be a number of these cases emerging in Dutch Unis. The recent investigation into social safety at TU Delft and their arrogant response is just the tip of the iceberg. Any systems that bestows power at the top with these so called “Full” professors is ripe for abuse. Too many delegate work down and demand rewards flow upwards. I’ve met several who cannot write a paper despite vast CVs of increasingly predatory publications. The same “Full” profs can’t be trusted to even run a course. And all benefit from being locals who trade favours with one another.
