AFAIK most suspensions are for defending Hamas. While for sure there are gray lines, and some people will be unjustly affected, this is a necessary measure. Or would you accept in your campus students and professors defending Al Qaeda after 9/11?

Please name the 'universities' engaging in suppression of free debate, so they can be avoided and unjustly suspended students & staff welcomed elsewhere.
