Universities shouldn't be 'handling' sexual misconduct cases - they are a police matter. What next? Are universities responsible for putting out fires? Like the rest of us, they call the Fire Brigade when their premises catch fire - we are told to concentrate on getting everyone to safety and leave fire fighting to the professionals. Likewise if criminal activity is reported, they should call the police to deal with it not try to handle it themselves.
