It's notable that it's views associated with religion - i.e. Islam and the persecution of the Jews - that are typecast as "extreme". Maybe universities are being relegated to a secular, economic role.

Extreme views, of whatever form, need to be aired so that they can be challenged. Restrictions will only drive them underground with potentially dire consequences.
