She's not wrong, and the leverage it gives the students country of origin should not be underestimated, even without their placemen in University management. “One of the key drivers for international student mobility, particularly at the postgraduate level, is the expectation of an internationalised learning experience with a classroom consisting of students from many different countries,” indeed, though with the growing decolonisation 'English' Universities are fast becoming anything but 'English' (I cannot comment on other parts of the UK as I work in an English [in name only at times] University) so some overseas students see no point in coming here anymore.
