Lord Wharton of Yarm, the chair of the Office for Students (OfS) choice of platform partners is questionable, given his stance on the NUS and tackling antisemitism on UK university campuses. He did not just congratulate, but explicitly endorsed Orbán, his government and his policies, whilst participating in a controversial right-wing conference in Hungary. The Department of Education needs to address this, if they are to have any credibility in dealing with problems in the NUS.
