My institution wants as much face-to-face as possible. This has led to several colleagues finding themselves teaching in front of a handful of students, instead of the 50+ the class would have normally been, and having to teach face-to-face and remotely at the same time because the rest of the students were connected remotely from their rooms. In one instance no one showed up face-to-face, so the colleague delivered the lecture remotely from the lecture room. The whole situation is a bit of a mixed bag, really. Some students might be genuinely interested and willing to go back to face-to-face, while others might prefer remote/online delivery.
