Great article, especially highlighting the wastage of money on excessive bureaucracy and overpaid poor decision making managers. Directives day to day seem to change with no rhyme or reason.
In times like these, restructuring without knowning (or even checking!) who does what are harmful to morale AND the finances of the university. Some individuals in charge of restructring do not understand that shifting people around like pawns is going to hinder productivity and that has negative consequences, even though in the immediate it might look like the institution has saved money. Short-term thinking is rife.
