This is not surprising but is disappointing. Many Universities appear to work for the interests of their staff and to the disadvantage of their students and the tax payer. We have too many undergraduate and post graduate students, Of the total, many are on the cheaper to provide courses / the courses leading to lower personal incomes / greater tax payer subsidies. The country would benefit if around 50% of those currently seeking to go to University started Apprenticeships instead.

Except the tuition fees for Apprenticeship programs are generally several times larger than the ones for university Master degrees, so I am not sure how is it better for taxpayer money.
