The family of the late Dame Anne McLaren and the late Donald Michie have established memorial funds in their names. A fund to support female scientists will be named in honour of Dame Anne, the first female foreign secretary of the Royal Society, who was killed with her former husband in a car accident this month. Donald Michie gives his name to a fund for artificial intelligence researchers. The family held a public celebration of their lives last week at the Zoological Society of London.
