A forensic scientist who has worked on many high-profile murder cases with police forces worldwide and advised on feature films and television series, including Waking the Dead , has joined the Robert Gordon University School of Life Sciences as a senior lecturer.

David Barclay worked from 1972 to 1990 with the Forensic Science Service at its Birmingham laboratory.
