Edge Hill scoops £1.5m

The Training and Development Agency for Schools has awarded £1.5 million - 88 per cent of the allocation available - to Edge Hill University for professional development in a bid to raise the quality of secondary school teaching in specific subject areas.

The TDA identified development needs for teachers nationally in mathematics, modern foreign languages, science, art and design, citizenship, design and technology, English, geography, history, ICT, music, PE, RE and special educational needs.
