Sedate Winchester and the glitzy Bollywood film industry would seem to have little in common, but a new programme run by the city's university could change that.

Staff and students at Winchester University could soon be taking part in a exchange programme involving the Asian Academy of Film and Television in the thriving Film City of Noida, near Delhi.

A partnership between the university and the academy was proposed by Sandeep Marwah, a Bollywood director and producer, who recently met with lecturers from the university's media, film and journalism programmes.
