very sad to read that leftists who are all over academic area have this pathetic atitude. The left party known as PT simply broke the country, leading the biggest and shocking corruption scandals in the last 30 years, but still pose as social democrats. I do hope these academic people, leave Brazil as soon as possible, because mostly because of them and their out of date ideologies, these failure in the whole country has been going on for the last 16 years under an almost endless PT project of power. 13 million unemployed workers in this country isn't enough to clarify their minds? They should learn numbers better. Shame on you.
While a lot of Brazilians put all the faults of Brazil's corruption and crisis on PT, the rise of fascism propaganda makes nazi symbols become common in right-wing. The anti-intellectual attitude is misleading and undermines press freedom and academic work. Dark times are coming.
