Please refer to an old press release quoted below. Quote Press releaseBangalore Mirror Bureau | Updated: Jul 28, 2016, 04:00 IST In an attempt to strengthen strategic academic alliances between the state and various international institutions, the Karnataka State Higher Education Council, on Wednesday, organised a seminar inviting representatives from all honorary consul generals in the city. Ramesh Kumar Nanjundaiya, advisor, Overseas Centre for Foreign Students said that through internationalisation and sharing of best practices, students in Karnataka would be prepared for global citizenship. The need for a centralised platform that can address all concerns and queries of international students was discussed. “It would be great if we could pinpoint the specific area where Karnataka higher education council is focused on, then we could connect them with such a pioneer in Germany,” said Dr Manjula Mundakana, officer at the German Consulate, hinting at possibilities of mutual collaborations. Rupa KN, from the Australian Trade Investment Commission, said that in addition to faculty exchange and student exchange, there are several other areas where the institutions of both countries can collaborate. bmb UNQUOTE
