A third of admissions officers believe A levels are of little use in preparing students for university, according to a survey.
Some 29 per cent said that A-level study prepared students badly for university-style learning and a further 4 per cent thought it prepared them very badly, the results of the survey by ACS International Schools reveal.
Some 87 per cent of respondents thought the International Baccalaureate prepared students well or very well.
