Palestine ties urged

Sir David Green, British Council director-general, this week appealed to academics involved in links with Palestinian universities to "work very hard" on collaborative projects despite the rioting that damaged council offices in Ramallah and Gaza. The council has fostered collaborative projects involving Salford and Dundee universities and is working with Nablus University and Al-Quds University Medical School.
