Let's remember the basics: Correlation alone, does not imply a causal relationship. It implies "co-(r)relation". "Changing together" is one thing, "one making the other change" is another. That said, obviously there is some valuable data, as it seems, and valuable analyses to be performed. Just with the need to be conscious about the statistical concepts. Regards,
