* Last week, we reported that under a Welsh Assembly proposal, from 2007 the poorest Welsh students studying in Wales will be exempt from paying Pounds 1,200 tuition fees and will receive a £1,800 grant to offset top-up fees. In fact, the proposal is for all Welsh students studying in Wales to receive the £1,800 grant and all will have to pay the £1,200, although this will be deferred until they graduate.
