The University of Greenwich is expected to make a multimillion pound bid for the Royal Naval College, put up for sale this week. The university says it is willing to take over the Pounds 1 million cost from the Ministry of Defence for running the building and could meet some of the Department of Heritage's Pounds 2 million bill for maintaining the exterior.
