Yes, we do have the technology! (THES, May 12, Antithesis, "Post haste"). A selection of the first images from ATSR-2 is available on the World Wide Web at URL http://atsrw3.ag.rl.ac:uk:80/atsr2/. ATSR-2 is British-built instrument which was launched on board ERS-2, ESA's second remote sensing satellite, on Thursday 20 April 1995. Data from ATSR-2 will be used to measure sea surface temperature and monitor vegetation on a global scale.
