In The THES annual survey of vice-chancellors' pay last week (February 7), the earnings of Sir Adrian Webb, vice-chancellor of the University of Glamorgan, included the employer's pension contribution. His income excluding this sum was £135,000. David Melville, vice-chancellor of the University of Kent, earned £130,000. No one at Stirling University earned more than £100,000. York St John College had four employees earning more than £50,000.
