Byzantinists donate collections to Queen's, Belfast
The private collections of three international-renowned Byzantinists, Peter Megaw, the late Martin Harrison and the late Sir Steven Runciman, have been donated to Queen's University, Belfast. The new library is the final stage in setting up Queen's institute of Byzantine studies, part of a £1 million Arts and Humanities Research Board initiative.

Leicester college opens alumni Peace Garden
Babington Community Technology College in Leicester is to open a Peace Garden to remember its former staff and students. The garden has been landscaped and will be maintained with some of the £15,000 received by religious studies teacher Dave Bennett, who became National Teacher of Year 2001.
