A triumvirate of leading Scottish writers has been appointed jointly to a new chair of creative writing at Glasgow University. Novelists Alasdair Gray (left) and James Kelman (back) and poet and essayist Tom Leonard (front) themselves proposed the job share within Glasgow's school of English and Scottish language and literature. Their work will include contributing to the successful creative-writing programme being pioneered by Glasgow and Strathclyde universities.
