Cardiff finds space for Star Trek captain

Cardiff University is to boldly award an honorary fellowship to actor Patrick Stewart, Captain Jean Picard in Star Trek , in July.

Also honoured will be Cardiff's Tiger Bay diva, Shirley Bassey, and soprano Suzanne Murphy, who has sung regularly with the Welsh National Opera in Cardiff. "The criterion for fellowships remains international distinction in their field," said a Cardiff spokesman.
