CVCP board approves QAA proposals

* Universities' teaching quality will be judged in just two categories under a simplified inspection regime.

The board of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals unanimously approved Quality Assurance Agency proposals for "approved" or "not approved" categories for subject reviews.

The categories will be based on performance in three aspects of provision: teaching and learning, student progression, and use of resources. These will be reported as commended, approved but action required or failing.
