Student held following lecture hall gun siege

A drama student accused of holding fellow students hostage at gunpoint in a university lecture theatre has been remanded in custody by Sunderland magistrates. Christopher David, 23, of Ryhope, Sunderland, is charged with possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear and unlawfully imprisoning other students in the lecture hall at the University of Sunderland.
