Union protests loss of college staff jobs

Bolton College plans to make 26 staff compulsorily redundant as part of a savings drive. Eight lecturers and 18 support staff are expected to go in an attempt by the college to meet a planned Pounds 500,000 surplus. The Professional Association of Teachers has condemned the move.
