German foreign minister Joschka Fischer (Green) has suggested a Frankfurt School of Economics should be set up in the European financial capital. He told the Frankfurter Rundschau newspaper that such a university could become a "world-ranking institution". It could be funded by a foundation with contributions from the city and international businesses.
