Blackstone cleared in discrimination suit

The race discrimination case against higher and further education minister Tessa Blackstone has been dismissed unanimously by a London tribunal. Chandra Sharma brought the case after failing to secure a merit award in the 1997 review of professorial salaries at London University's Birkbeck College, when Baroness Blackstone was master.
