Unison steward fired for union work

A college technician was made redundant after 20 years' service because he was active in the trade union, a tribunal decided last week. Lawrence Keen, a Unison steward at Halton College, is now seeking re-engagement and compensation following the ruling by an industrial tribunal in Liverpool. It said there was a culture of "anti-unionism" at the college.
