Sharjah sheikh gives Pounds 2 million to Exeter

EXETER University has received a Pounds 2 million gift from a former postgraduate student, for research and teaching in the school of languages. The money, from Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, will go to the department of Arabic, Islamic and Middle East studies.
