Newnham rallies behind transsexual

Staff and students at Cambridge University's last all-women college, Newnham, are uniting behind fellow Rachel Padman, who was exposed as a transsexual by colleague Germaine Greer. Despite Dr Greer's complaints that Padman's position at the college flouted the statutes, principal Onora O'Neill stood by her appointment.
