This is the oddest set of articles- no mention of a nanny anywhere. How many parents could do this where they both work full time without paying the cost of a nanny/ crèche or whatever - out of pretaxed income. One of the complaintsI still have is that I paid a full time nanny and taxes etc out of pretaxed income- double taxation for sure. The flexibility afforded to academics allows people to make the mistake of thinking they can do this without proper help.
