I have just found this piece on Perry. I went to school with Perry and still have a piece of his artwork on my wall. Red and Yellow and Pink and Green dated 17/10/78 It's wonderful to read what a worthwhile and inspirational life and career he had, but so sad to hear he is no longer with us.
I was pleased to come across Perry in the course of my work and at first was horrified to learn that there was a Professor of Play. That was before I listened to him and talked to him and understood the value of what he did and taught. He gave no clue that he was near the end of his life, I am glad I knew him briefly and can attest to the lasting value of his work and his warmth as a human being.
