Luton staff want financial context of cuts

STAFF in talks with managers over job losses want more information about the University of Luton's finances. Weekly meetings will take place between the lecturers' union Natfhe and university administrators over the next month to discuss ways of making up a deficit of more than Pounds 1 million. Accounting problems dating back several years mean the precise figure is not yet clear.
