Videoconferencing will link the 12 institutions of Scotland's planned Highlands and Islands University, which are spread over an area larger than Belgium. In the Pounds 500,000 first stage of a Pounds 2 million contract, Sony videoconferencing terminals will be installed in all 12 institutions by the end of April.
