As an Associate Dean with a group of higher education institutions, I am experiencing a gradual change in the philanthropy culture in India with regards to higher education. Having said that our higher education framework may require a revisit from the concerned bodies which may then facilitate an increase in private entities philanthropy approach towards higher education. I see a close connect with the quality of the higher education, its objective, its outcome and its value addition to the society and our nation with the various philanthropy bodies wanting to spend money on higher education.
