University of Gloucestershire - Coroner records drug death

A man found dead in a storeroom at a University of Gloucestershire campus died from an overdose of opiates and alcohol, an inquest has heard. A cleaner found the body of Ian Lockey, 43, at the Francis Close campus in Cheltenham on the morning of 17 January. Coroner Alan Crickmore recorded a verdict that Mr Lockey died accidentally. Police gave evidence to the inquest that the man had a known history of alcohol and drug abuse.
