Exactly, this the serious concern and a threat to 'balanced higher education'. In many countries, the higher education is evolving as 'diploma mills' with focus on generating employment through campus created jobs. Students, also joining programmes with only focus on target 'employment'. The situation is resulting into creation of 'degrees' with specialization focusing on only few years of industry demand..while on one side we are debating on role of higher education in sustainable development, this type of 'unsustainable' higher education evolution certainly not desirable..need collective action!
