Universities ‘overreaching’ in response to affirmative action ban

I have to agree that Affirmative Action is and has been unconstitutional. When merit is sacrificed for diversity, the perceived problem isn't being addressed. Someone more qualified was passed over for the sake of diversity. Instead, efforts should be to make sure public schools like in Baltimore Co, MD to have someone/anyone graduate reading at grade level. Diversity then naturally follows competence.
