Unions representing professional technical, administrative and ancillary staff have issued a statement confirming their commitment to single-table bargaining. The unions, Unison, Unite and the GMB, said: "Unity is strength means that unions are stronger when they start from the same place, end in the same place and stick together throughout. We do not intend to change our position on single-table bargaining." The University and College Union meets on November 9 to consider its position on single- table bargaining and a timetable for negotiations.
