My daughter-in-law has just died from AML in her early 40s, leaving two children at increased risk from the disease. Organisations which coordinate activities across the various stakeholders are crucially important in reducing working in silos and improving cooperation. The closure of the NCRI and the reduction in spending by the research charities will contribute to other loss of life. It is an inexcusable outrage.
